SN series plummer block housings are split bearing housings for the fitting of self aligning bal or spherical roler bearings which are fixed to the shaft either by shrink fitting or with an adapter sleeve. Snu plummer block housings are split housings consisting of a cap and base. They have two holes cast into the base for attachment bolts. The housings are designed to enable a wider choice of shaft-bearing combinations.

SD Series housings are split plummer blocks for spherical roler bearings with adapter sleeves. They can be fitted with labyrinth seals. SD housings are designed for loads applied verticaly to the bridging surface. In these instances the permissible load is determined by the load rating of fitted bearing.

SNU series plummer block housings are split housings consisting of a cap and base. They are solid without mounting holes. The housings are designed to enable a wider choice of shaft-bearing combinations.

Cartridges have a spherical outer surface that fits into a conforming surface in the mounting unit (such as pillow block or flange) in the manner of a ball and socket joint. Any shaft misalignment that may exist tends to move the cartridge, seal and bearing together, maintaining the seal on an axis parallel to the shaft.
